Our mission

Our mission is to give kids somewhere safe to be wrong about money. Vine pairs real market prices with pretend cash, so a child can buy, sell and watch what happens years before a single real dollar is at stake.

A note from the founder

Avatar

Dear parents,

Vine started from a simple observation: most people learn about money the expensive way, after the mistake has already cost them something. School teaches almost none of it, so the first real lesson usually arrives with a real bill attached.

It seemed obvious that the practice should come first.

So Vine is a simulator with a curriculum attached. The prices are real and move during market hours. The money is pretend, always. A kid can put everything into one company, watch it fall, and learn exactly what that feels like for free.

One principle guides the whole thing: nothing in Vine should be able to cost a child real money, and nothing should shame them for getting it wrong. No ads, no third-party tracking in the kids’ app, and no streaks nagging anyone to come back.
